Testimonial

Paul, Gaspard’s father, has always been on the lookout for possible developments in his operations. With his son and son-in-law, they discovered SOBAC when their land began to saturate, and they did not hesitate for a moment. Gaspard attests.

"We heard about SOBAC through word of mouth. Someone came by when, on a plot that we had just taken over, we had done a soil test. There was everything needed in the soil, but it didn't grow. Mineral fertilizers no longer provided what we hoped for. We decided to test BACTÉRIOSOL.

If the first year we did not see any significant difference, in the second year, the vine really gained strength. We continued and added more plots that were suffering. On all the plots that had problems, they are doing really well today. The entire vineyard is now sown with BACTÉRIOSOL. On a vine with BACTÉRIOSOL for three years, we made a small soil profile with a spade.

The earth was blacker, the soil is much more relaxed

And then in winter, you see the earthworms that have multiplied, a sign that life has returned.

We had already reduced the doses in phytosanitary and I was looking for a way-out using chemicals. It is true that by working with BACTÉRIOSOL, we have put ourselves ahead of the competition. I am in a DEPHY group with the Chamber of Agriculture and we are very attentive to reductions in phytosanitary products.

The SOBAC concept obviously helps to move in this direction. We have stopped everything that is N-nitrogen, P-phosphorus, K-potassium. In any case, it no longer meets our philosophy. We were pushed to too much over-treatment. We have always wanted to keep free.

And then I like the idea of improving my soils

I see them differently, or rather, I did not see them before. "I no longer want to jeopardize my health". It was my father, Paul, who launched the dose reductions of phytosanitary products. He is curious by nature. It was he who made us start planting wider to be able to work more easily.

Same thing with higher plants to facilitate picking. We try to simplify life as much as possible and SOBAC technologies also meets this philosophy of life since there are fewer passes to do on the vines.

The steps are easier to manage with SOBAC. We put BACTÉRIOSOL in October / November and in the spring, it frees up time. Besides, I can see that we finish our work before others. Several local winegrowers have been curious, and many will follow.

I no longer want to jeopardize my health or that of others of course

I remember old men spreading sodium arsenite, a poison, in soft shoe and T-shirt. We would not believe that today. We have largely maintained our yields. Overall, we produce 60 hectolitres per hectare. We are on the right path; a natural path and I do not see myself going back for a second. Gone are the days when we threw anything at the land. We have just developed sales to individuals with small cellar. We will start with 20,000 bottles for direct sale and we will gradually increase.

It is important to show that vine growers are trying. Consumers want us to go that way. We will start to highlight the way we work, and I am sure it will have a positive impact.

Autonomy, short circuits, taking control of our destiny, that is all that we must have to succeed and the use of BACTÉRIOSOL helps us
