BOOSTING THE QUALITY OF YOUR CEREAL CROPS
Cereal farming demands rigorous economic and agronomic management. Its major challenges lie in increasing productivity and meeting increasingly stringent quality standards while reducing total phytosanitary treatments and inputs.
To achieve tomorrow's objectives, it is essential to consider the soil-plant-grower system holistically. The soil, the key element, must be the focus of our thinking if we are to optimise operations. SOBAC offers a unique, recognised concept based on the creation of humus by spontaneous micro-organisms from Marcel Mézy Technologies.
SOBAC offers a unique, recognised concept based on the creation of humus by spontaneous micro-organisms from Marcel Mézy Technologies.
The soil-plant interface in the biological activity of the soil lies at the core of the logic. Humus improves soil structure thereby limiting constraints, optimises its workings by facilitating water management (drainage and retention), making the soil easier to work, and making cereals more resistant to hydric stress. Root development is efficient.
Humus also plays a role as a reservoir to limit loss of minerals through leaching and thereby reduces the associated pollution. Cereal crops thereby also benefit from balanced nutrition, increasing their above- and below-ground resistance to stress and improving their physiological mechanism to maximise their natural defences. Thus, proper soil functioning is an essential lever for productivity and for resistance to biotic and abiotic hazards. It limits the impact of diseases and thereby reduces the use of phytoproducts, which then enables higher-quality yields, reduces expenses, and improves overall profitability.
SOBAC’s concept fits perfectly into this agronomic approach by maximising the full potential of the soil and crops while anticipating future environmental regulations.
